Who Are We?

We are EasyKrishi – An agri-tech startup bridging the agri info gap within rural India since 2016.

Our work:

EasyKrishi’s work is focused in Turning Farmer Co-operatives into Digital agri-clinics through:

1. Input Cost Reduction by Demand Aggregation:

This is achieved by bringing together small and marginal farmers and aggregating their input demand through FPOs which helps them receive quality inputs at a competitive price.

The retail margin saved ranges from 15%-40% for various agri-inputs.

2. Credit Facilitation for FPOs:

We help with the credit facilitation for FPOs from NABARD and other agri Banks for profitable input and output transactions without any hurdle. This reduces the cost of capital by 20% when compared other means.

Capital procurement at the right time increases the market transactions and thereby increasing the corresponding credit rating of the FPOs.

3. Direct Communication Channel through Digitized tools:

Our focus is to reach even the last mile farmer who may not have access to the internet or even a smart phone. To help bridge the agri-info gap we have a platform that can send SMS’s & Voice SMS’s to the FPO member farmers.

Our Impact:

As of today we are working with 80 Farmer Producer Companies in Karnataka. Our current project for this agricultural season is focused on working with both NABARD and Horticulture FPOs with an endorsement from NABARD.

Our values:

Mission: To bridge the agricultural-information gap through technology, thereby empowering farmers with information and solidarity within farmer communities.

Vision: To be instrumental in providing affordable and practical products & solutions which will create a positive impact in the agricultural eco-system.

Value Proposition: Our tech-enabled application serves as a Direct Communication and Marketing Channel which eases farmer to farmer and farmer to stakeholder communication and provides a Remedy to Uncertain Market Conditions. We have been instrumental in driving social impact enabling farmers to create solidarity groups, thereby increasing efficiency and creating an outlet to escape debt trap and farmer suicide.

Genesis: Prabhav G Dhwajan is a grass root level activist turned entrepreneur who has dedicated his live’s work to solving the farmer suicide crisis in India. His efforts started off as humanitarian aid for the farmers of rural Karnataka. The more time he spent on the field with the farmers, the more he was convinced to find solutions to the aggravating farming crisis. EasyKrishi was created as a Tech-Enabler to assist small scale rural farmers by doubling their income through local aggregation and find a reliable market by bringing technology to every rural door step.

A word from the founder:

“Through my organization EasyKrishi, I identify agri-info gap and lack of aggregation as the main problems within agriculture, wherein each farmer has to fend for one self. The Average land holding of individual farmers is decreasing with every new generation, the prices of agricultural inputs are increasing, and the output costs are manipulated by external forces, leading to farmer suicides and urban migration. To counter this, EasyKrishi has been bringing together small and marginal farmers to carry out the buying and selling of agriculture and allied services. Our solution creates a digital intervention model in the agricultural value chain. In the process, the waiting timeline, costs, and efforts are better managed, resulting in effective time management, reduced costs and better quality of produce.”
